The first week of April is UW Walk Week!

Join the Whole U as we spend a week focusing on taking time to get out from behind the desk, off of the couch and outside for some movement! Increased time spent walking each day can boost your mood, increase your energy, increase your cardiovascular and pulmonary fitness, among many other benefits.

This year, walk week includes:

  • Whole U Ambassador led walks on campus
  • A unique walk week tracker to help you reach at least 30 minutes each day
  • Team Walk Competition with prizes
  • UW Seattle Campus Scavenger Hunt with grand prize sponsored by Suji Fresh!
  •  Whole U route maps to mix up your walking journey
  • KIND Bars and Whole U swag!

Below, we’ve outlined all of the events included in UW Walk Week 2019. Register for UW Walk Week and sign-up for the additional activities to reap the benefits of increased movement and walking into your daily routine!

Step One:
Register for UW Walk Week to commit to walking at least 30 minutes each day.

By registering for UW Walk Week, you’ll get access to the Whole U Walk Week tracker and Whole U recommended walking routes. The first 300 participants to sign-up get a free Whole U drawstring bag with zipper pocket! Registering for the week-long commitment is the first step to joining UW Walk Week! Learn more and register here.

Step Two:
Join ambassador walks on campus to help you stay true to your commitment with like-minded colleagues!

All week long, Whole U Ambassadors will be leading walks across UW. Simply look through the selection of walks and register to join! We’ll send you a confirmation and reminder email once Walk Week arrives. Ambassadors will have KIND Bars to hand out at Ambassador led walks! Remember to check back often, more and more ambassador led walks will be added to this page.

Step Three:
Gather your team and register for our Team Walk Competition!

All week long, we’re hosting a Team Walk Competition. Participation is simple: One team member registers the team, and then your team picks a date and time to walk for 30 minutes together. Snap a photo of your team, send it to the Whole U, and the most creative team photo will win a Whole U swag box! We’ll recommend a walking route to make getting outside together even easier. Learn more and register here.

Step Four:
Brush up on your Husky knowledge and register for the Seattle Campus Scavenger Hunt!

On Wednesday April 3, the Whole U is hosting a Husky Hunt on UW Seattle Campus from noon to 1:00 p.m. Compete with a team or individually, and collect a prize at the finish line. First place will win 2 bags of fresh produce from our discount partner Suji Fresh! For rules and instructions, click here.
